USO Naples-July 2023 Volunteer of the Month

Please join USO Naples in congratulating July’s Volunteer of the Month, Mrs. Camila Aponte-Castelblanco!

Since becoming a volunteer with USO Naples in July 2023, Camila has dedicated over 45 hours of volunteer service. She has accomplished an extraordinary amount in very little time, volunteering at over 15 shifts, becoming our first USO Naples Volunteer Mil Spouse Specialist, and always raising a hand to help prep or participate in upcoming events. It is with great pleasure that we award her as our Volunteer of the Month for July.

You can find Camila at a variety of USO Naples events, but her favorite program is USO Café which sets up every Monday through Thursday. She enjoys being a welcoming presence and listening ear for our military families who stop by the café. With a smile, she provides tour information, snacks, beverages, and her signature hospitality.

Camila originally comes to us from Bogotá, Colombia where her love of dancing and cooking blossomed. Her current hobbies include exploring new countries and getting a taste of different cultures. She is truly taking advantage of living in Italy, exploring a variety of European countries as well as regularly visiting her family in Columbia. Camila is grateful for her time as a USO volunteer because it has allowed her to meet amazing new people and build a community of friends while also giving her an inspiring purpose within that community.
