USO Naples - October 2022 Volunteer of the Month

Please join us in congratulating YN2 Hannah Benardmejia in earning USO Naples’ October Volunteer of the Month award! Hannah began volunteering with us back at the very end of March and, since then, has already served almost 90 hours, all while working full-time on active duty. She’s served in over 35 different shifts from Family Game Nights to early morning Patriot Express flights to huge holiday events like Easter Eggstravaganza and SpookTRUNKular. She’s kind, hardworking, and extremely reliable, and our team really don’t know what we’d do without her.

Hannah is originally from Salt Lake City, Utah and decided to become a part of the USO because “a friend mentioned how awesome the team was, and [she] wanted to be involved with the community.” While she’s served in numerous programs, one of her very favorites is Taste of Home, a program which caters towards bringing happiness to our single and unaccompanied service members stationed at NSA Naples. “I like that we’re recognizing that single Sailors may be facing hardships while here and are trying to give them something to remind them of home,” says Hannah. Not only does Hannah enjoy taking care of those around her, but she also enjoys reading and writing and is currently even writing her own book.

We’re extremely grateful for you and your service, Hannah, and we’re so happy you’re on the team. Huge congratulations to you. Well deserved! #USONaples #BeTheForce #USOVolunteer
