Summerfest Fun with USO Naples!

A sunny Italian day welcomed members of the NSA Naples community to USO Naples’s annual Summerfest. A celebration of the summer season, the end of school, and the beginning of travel, the USO brought the community together for a much-needed day of fun. Alongside their partner organizations, the USO was able to host a spectacular celebration full of great food, live music, camaraderie-building activities, and fun for the entire family! Every attendee was treated to a USO Naples signature, all-American BBQ. Inclusive of grilled hot dogs and a slew of accompanying sides and snacks, such as popcorn, bags of peanuts, chips, Italian graffe, and a choice of beverage.

Military children were also awed by the number of carnival-style games USO Naples had prepared for them. Whether they were interested in playing “Can Toss” or Cornhole, kids were given the opportunity to kick back and relish their childhood. After completing the games, they could then turn in their punch card for a slew of prizes and treats. The hit of the night for the children, however, was guessing the number of candy pieces in a sealed, prepared jar. USO Naples was also able to bring a bit of “magic” to Italy, when special guests for the evening, Mickey and Minnie Mouse arrived. They brought so much joy and wonder to the littlest ones in attendance! As twilight began to set in and the event came to a close, laughter could be heard far and wide, and many voiced their appreciation for such a perfect day out. This family-centered event truly brought the community together through food and fun!
