USO Naples Volunteer of the Month June 2022

Please join USO Naples in congratulating our June 2022 Volunteer of the Month, Mrs. Mia Jansons! Mia has been such an incredible help to the USO, and in the past months has even led a few of our events. We are truly grateful to have such a strong leader like her as part of our volunteer team and appreciate all her hard work, skills, and endless dedication to the USO mission. Mia became a USO volunteer in August 2021 and has donated over 100 hours of her time! She is originally from Muharraq, Bahrain and has been in Naples, Italy for two years. Mia joined the Naples volunteer committee because it gave her the opportunity to meet new people and have her own Naples family within the military community. Her favorite program is Hotdog Friday because, in her words, “I love dressing up in the hotdog costume and bringing joy to the hearts of the military families.” Mia’s sense of humor, positive attitude, willingness to take initiative, and kindness are just some of her many wonderful qualities. When Mia is not volunteering with us, she is either traveling, reading a book, or trying out a new cooking recipe. Cooking is one of Mia’s favorite things to do and it is also one of her many talents. It is an absolute privilege and delight to have Mia on the team and we can never thank her enough. Mia states, “I have really enjoyed my time here at the USO. The USO has opened doors in my life and allowed me to meet some amazing people. I want to thank you for recognizing my dedication and effort. I am thankful for being the volunteer of the month.” Please join us as we congratulate Mia as our Volunteer of the Month for June 2022!
