USO Naples Volunteer of the Month January 2022

The USO Naples Volunteer Committee consists of hardworking, selfless individuals who consistently support their military community. Gloria Ramirez joined the Naples Volunteer Committee in September 2021 and has truly gone above and beyond during her time as a volunteer, donating over 67 hours of service in just 4 short months. We are proud to recognize and congratulate her as our first Volunteer of the Month for 2022!

Originally from Southern California, Gloria is stationed here in Naples with two children and husband. She has played a key role in assisting with the USO’s weekly shopping, helping ensure that the USO Naples Centers are well stocked and that each program has the materials they need along with lending her crafting talents during events like Teddy Bear Club. “I chose to volunteer to get involved in the community here in Naples”, says Gloria when asked why she decided to volunteer with the USO. “It’s an opportunity to get out and meet others. The events here always put a smile on service members, spouses and kids’ faces and being a part of that is what really drew me to volunteer”.

Many of you might recognize Gloria from events like Coffee Connections, Hot Dog Friday or her favorite program Teddy Bear Club. When Gloria isn’t volunteering you can find her hanging out with her husband and kids or binge-watching friends while eating her favorite snacks. Gloria’s enthusiasm, humor and kind heart has made her an excellent addition to our team, and we are thankful each day for her unwavering support. Please join us in congratulating her as our Volunteer of the Month for January 2022!
