USO Naples Volunteer of the Month October 2021 - Kaleb Kirkland

USO Naples would like to introduce one of our outstanding volunteers, IT2 Kaleb Kirkland. Kaleb joined the USO Naples Volunteer Committee this past June and in just 4 short months he has dedicated nearly 100 hours of volunteer service to the USO and NSA Naples community. He has served hundreds of hungry troops at Troop Lunch, welcomed new families to the area as they arrived off of the rotator and spent hot summer afternoons passing out popsicles to on base children to help them beat the heat. His unwavering support, reliability and positivity have made him a role model volunteer and we are proud to announce him as our Volunteer of the Month for October 2021! Originally from Goose Creek, South Carolina IT2 Kirkland is stationed here in Naples and began volunteering with the USO to get connected with his community. “I chose to volunteer with the USO because it’s a great way of spending free time and forces me to get out of my comfort zone and meet some amazing new people,” he says. “My favorite event is definitely Cup of Joe, because I get to serve the “the best coffee in Naples” to the best service members in the world. In all seriousness, I love serving a little pick me up first thing bright and early to our amazing military community here,” he said when asked about his favorite event to volunteer at. Whether Kaleb is greeting service members with a cup of coffee or helping our team grocery shop for the week, he is a pillar of force within the USO Naples Volunteer Committee. Please join us as we thank him for not just his service to our country, but to our community and the USO.
