Sigonella’s Spooktacular Teddy Bear Club

Floating ghosts, spun cobwebs, and hanging bats filled the Marinai Pavilion for the members of the Teddy Bear Club to enjoy a spooktacular event. Halloween is a time for everyone to dress up as their favorite character, visit pumpkin patches, and eat themed treats. Each member of the Teddy Bear Club joined in on the fun and received tasty snacks that included a Harvest Mix, mummied apple sauce, and Frankenstein grape cups to enjoy while being read “Turkey Trick or Treat”. With Halloween night right around the corner, the story excited the members and inspired them, as they too will be trick or treating soon. After snack and storytime, the little ones were invited into the pumpkin patch, allowing them to choose their very own pumpkin to decorate and take home. While decorating their pumpkins, the children had a blast adding spooky stickers and coloring them, bringing their pumpkins to life. After the pumpkins were finished, the children gathered in the field nearby and danced around in their costumes to Halloween classics. Finishing off what some declared as “the best Halloween ever”, USO Sigonella volunteers grabbed their broomsticks and cauldrons to pass out goodie bags for everyone to take home. The Halloween-themed bags, which can double as trick or treat bags, were filled with candy and coloring pages, ensuring their fun would last all week long. The children not only went home with goodie bags and decorated pumpkins, but they also left having made new friends and memories that will last a lifetime! Children and parents were able to connect and make new friends while sharing candy, cheers, and laughter. The USO Sigonella is thrilled to have made this exciting tradition possible for the families of the NAS Sigonella community.
