USO Vicenza Volunteer of the Month - August 2021

Please join the USO Vicenza in congratulating Jessica Sweatman on being named our August 2021, Volunteer of the Month! Jessica has been volunteering with the USO Vicenza since September of 2018 and is coming up on 3-years of volunteering with the USO. Over the past 3 years Jessica has become an invaluable member of the team. Jessica is a student at the University of Padova where she studies Psychology. She is currently living in Italy with her father, mother, sister, dog, cats. Jessica was born in in Alabama but has lived most of her life in Italy and Germany. When Jessica is not studying, she enjoys watching Anime, partaking in Cosplay, and spending time with her boyfriend. Jessica has truly stepped up by volunteering for a variety of events. Whether it is prepping for an event, serving our service members, decorating the center, or just running the front desk Jessica has been a tremendous asset to the center. Even now that she has started working, she still finds time to come into the center to volunteer whenever she has a few open hours. Not only has Jessica been selflessly volunteering her time at the center, but she has also helped recruit her sister Sophie and mother Simone to become USO volunteers. She enjoys volunteering because it makes her happy to give back to the community and gives her some fun job experience to add to her resume.
