Bowling for Pride

USO Vicenza staff and volunteers were thrilled to be invited to support the inaugural Caserma Ederle Pride event to kick of National Pride Month. The lighting for laser bowling, along with fun pop hits, helped set the mood for this awesome and enlightening event held at the MWR Arena Bowling Alley. The event venue was pleasantly decorated with Pride Flags and colorful tablecloths while the Caserma Pride association provided participants with information about their association and other events that were scheduled throughout the month and beyond. Patrons were highly encouraged to mingle, enjoy some delicious food from the snack bar, partake in some fun-spirited, and in some cases competitive, bowling, and just have an all-around wonderful time. USO Vicenza arrived to show its support of this event by handing out prize bags with color swirled cupcakes, Pride gear, and an amazing summer starter basket to one lucky raffle winner. Patrons were delighted when receiving the bags that the USO Vicenza handed out that were filled with many different swag items that celebrate and symbolize the Pride movement. The Caserma Pride organization hosted this event not only to celebrate Pride month, but also bring awareness about the LBGTQ+ community and how others can support to help put an end to intolerance and instead spread joy and peace, which the USO Vicenza was honored to be a participant. By the end of the night everyone was smiling, laughing, and excited for the chance to connect with others, while enjoying amazing food, prizes, and cupcakes.
