USO Sigonella Volunteer of the Year: Jesse Segura

USO Sigonella would like to congratulate our Volunteer Of The Year for 2021, Jesse Segura. Jesse has been volunteering with USO Sigonella since early this year. He has played a critical role in assisting with USO programs and events as a dedicated team leader.

Jesse always arrives at events with a positive attitude and is ready to work. He leads other volunteers during our weekly Troop Lunch and monthly Cup Of Joe events. He is always welcoming patrons and spreading his positivity to service members. Jesse is an active duty service member himself so he strongly delivers our USO mission by not only volunteering at events but volunteers to help out behind the scenes as well whenever needed. Throughout his time volunteering in Sigonella Jesse has been a strong addition to the team and we are fortunate he plans to continue serving his community as long as he is here in Sigonella.

Since the start of Jesse volunteering with us in Sigonella, we have faced challenges as we worked through innovative ways to reimplement programs from being held virtually to in person after the COVID-19 regulations had been lifted. Jesse was right by our side throughout all of this and gave the staff the support and dependability that we needed to continue to deliver our mission and continue with our operations. No matter the event or need the staff at USO Sigonella is confident that Jesse will be there to provide not only his excellent support but also spread his infectious smile.
