"You've Been Egged!"
A favorite pastime of so many is hunting for Easter eggs delivered from none other than the Easter Bunny, and this year was no different. Not only did the Easter Bunny visit families, he also recruited extra helpers to deliver USO goodness in the form of “egging” homes. The approach was a little bit different, but this year if your house was egged it meant special helpers from the USO had visited, and there was NO clean up!
When families were out and about putting their finishing touches on their Easter weekend plans, little USO Volunteer Bunnies got busy hopping all around Marinai “egging” homes. Families returned to find adorable bags full of plastic candy filled eggs, chocolate eggs and other treats hanging from the front door with a message reading “You’ve Been Egged” from USO Sigonella. Spreading goodness, especially on holidays, is one of the many passions of the USO and with the help of a sponsorship from USAA, USO Sigonella staff and volunteers were able to spread Easter cheer to over 200 families in base housing! It is not always easy being far from home on holidays, but with the help of USO Sigonella, families had a little something extra to celebrate this year!
