Rejuvenate with Java
In these uncertain times having a strong support system can greatly impact how one reacts to the climate of this ever-changing world. Learning how to cope when faced with challenges most have not faced before can greatly impact one’s quality of life. U.S. Naval Hospital Sigonella has put together a team dedicated to teaching their fellow colleagues about the importance of resiliency and when USO Sigonella was asked to support, they answered the call.
Every third Friday of the month U.S. Naval Hospital Sigonella holds a resiliency training for hospital staff. USO Sigonella has used this as an opportunity to help and started calling the program Rejuvenate with Java. Rejuvenate with Java is an opportunity to spread the USO mission while supporting the importance of resilience. Coffee, tea, and breakfast items are provided for hospital staff to enjoy as the sun rises in the sky, soothing music plays nearby and lessons on being resilient are taught. To be resilient is having the capacity to recover quickly from difficulties, and although many in the NAS Sigonella community have faced challenges this past year, USO Sigonella will always be there continuing the mission of strengthening America’s military service members to continue to push through these times and come out stronger on the other side.
