Valentine's Day Scavenger Hunt
This Valentine’s Day, restaurants were closed, making the typical romantic date night impossible. That didn’t stop USO Naples or the Naples community from finding something fun to do anyway! Base families were challenged to a scavenger hunt with the objective of finding ten clues hidden throughout the base. The only way to find the clues was through solving riddles that were posted on the USO page, so families got to thinking before setting out on their search. Families searched high and low, and upon locating each clue participants snapped quick, silly selfies as proof. Families got outside to enjoy the sunshine and a bit of fresh air together. One new service member said, “This hunt really got me to explore the area a bit. It was pretty tough since I don’t know the base very well, but it was so much fun!”. All of the participants would agree that a couple of these clues really had them stumped. A clue hidden at child’s eye level by the vet’s office, for instance, was one that a lot of adults didn’t see. One clue that was wrapped around a light pole was particularly hard to find. The clues were a bit tricky, but the Naples community is pretty clever. The victors that emerged enjoyed sweet Valentine chocolate prizes as their spoils from the hunt! You can’t have a challenge without a prize, afterall!
