USO Naples Volunteer of the Quarter - Kimberly Anderson

USO Naples would like to introduce one of our outstanding USO volunteers, Kimberly Anderson. She has been a reliable, constant, and engaged volunteer since she joined the USO Naples team in October of 2020. She has supported nearly every kind of USO program since she joined the team, sometimes traveling between both Capo and Support Site in one day to volunteer for multiple opportunities. She has played a critical role in supporting the USO and we are humbled to announce her as our Volunteer of the Quarter.

Kimberly has quickly become a volunteer that others can rely on, no matter the time or place. “I chose to start volunteering because I wanted my time to be spent with a purpose,” Kimberly said when asked why she chose to volunteer. “Quarantine last spring really showed me just how much time was wasted in my days and it really drove me to search for ways my time can be useful for other people while I’m here.” There have been multiple occasions where Kimberly has gone above and beyond her role as a volunteer. During the USO’s Photos with Santa event this past December, she volunteered a total of 10 hours leading the hot dog prep team, ensuring that 400 hot dog luncheons were prepared and served to registered families. Some of you may recognize her from programs like Troop Lunch, Teddy Bear Club, or even on the USO Facebook Live video for Ladies Paint and Post! In just the short 4 months she has been on the USO Naples volunteer team, Kimberly has dedicated 200 hours of volunteer service.

The USO Naples team is grateful for Kimberly’s unwavering support and her willingness to jump in wherever she is needed. Her passion to support the community has made her a fantastic addition to the Naples Volunteer Committee. Please join us in congratulating her as the first USO Naples Volunteer of the Quarter for 2021!
