USO Sigonella Volunteer of the Month December-Maryalice Raddatz

The holidays are such a special time of year for everyone, especially for us here at USO Sigonella. This holiday season we had the opportunity to bring our mission to life at every event we held for the patrons of NAS Sigonella. Though Christmas looked a bit different this year, our volunteers did not miss a beat bringing USO goodness and cheer to each participant of our in-person programs. From decorating the barracks for our single and unaccompanied service members, to providing hot cocoa and coffee at early morning events, our staff and volunteers worked hard to bring the holidays to life this Christmas. Without the help of our volunteers our staff of three would not have been able to execute the amount of events we did this season, and because of that we want to highlight two very important volunteers who went above and beyond this month to bring the USO magic to life.

Meet our first Volunteer of the Month for December, HN3 Maryalice Raddatz. You may recognize her from our Cup of Joe program, Sailor of the Quarter, Troop Lunch To-Go and the Christmas events held at the Barracks this holiday season. Originally from California, Maryland, Maryalice works for US NMRTC Sigonella. Maryalice was instrumental in aiding in the execution of several events USO Sigonella held this month. She is kind and comes to every event with a smile on her face and positive attitude no matter how early the event. With her help we were able to bring Christmas to the lobby of the barracks of NAS I and goodies to those living in the barracks on Christmas Eve. We cannot say thank you enough for her efforts in helping USO Sigonella make this a holiday season for our service members and families to remember. We cannot wait to continue working together into the New Year!
