USO Vicenza Supports After Training Evolution
All Service Members take pride in serving their country and doing so to the best of their abilities. Last week soldiers from the 173rd Airborne Brigade completed two weeks of training and testing in which they were working to gain the Expert Soldier Badge or the Expert Infantry Badge. The Soldiers were required to show expert skills in physical fitness, marksmanship, medical taskings, patrol taskings and land navigation. To finish it off, soldiers had to successfully complete a 12-mile ruck march with weighted gear, early in the morning on Friday, October 30th. USO Vicenza was there on Del Din to warmly greet those accomplished soldiers! Volunteers Greg and Chris, along with staff members Sam and Anabel, congratulated each and every tired soldier with yummy treats, refreshing Gatorade, and their bubbly happy smiles! Many soldiers were exhausted and in need of replenishment, so were truly grateful to see the USO tent set up with these reenergizing snacks and USO team. USAA also provided free face masks that were given out to the soldiers, helping to protect and keep them safe. USO Vicenza always takes pride in celebrating the accomplishments of the soldiers and thank them for their service to our great nation! Hooah!
