USO Vicenza Volunteer of the Month October 2020

Please join us in congratulating our October Volunteer of the Month Cristine Swanson. Cristine moved to Italy from Hawaii about 2 years ago and currently resides here in Vicenza with her Husband Ed, children Ryan, Hayden, and Brooke and her fur baby Spooky. Christine definitely keeps herself busy. When she is not volunteering, Christine and her family like to travel throughout the country, try out new restaurants, and hold family game nights. She not only volunteers with the USO but also with the VCC, RSO, and many other organizations around the Vicenza Military Community. Christine has been particularly helpful is procuring and designing many of the prizes that the USO Vicenza gives away during our events. She is always on the lookout for sale items that help us stretch our donor dollars. Lately Christine has been helping us with our events like Wake-up-Wednesday and Appreciation Bag Construction and has taken a large role in helping us with our upcoming Thanksgiving plans. When asked why she volunteers Christine said, “Volunteering at the USO has been a great opportunity to meet new people and bring a smile to people’s faces.” Once again, we want to congratulate Christine on becoming the USO Vicenza Volunteer of the Month. We look forward to more great things that Christine has to offer to the USO Vicenza and the VMC.
