Newcomer Spouse Coffee

Being new to any area is hard but being new to an area during a pandemic has its challenges. The USO realizes this and has been supporting each newcomer upon arrival. USO Naples understands that in addition to support, knowledge is a key factor in adjusting well to a new area. What better way to help than to host a Newcomers Spouse Coffee event? The event was held on Support Site in the Village Forum area on August 26th. USO Italy Area Director, Mrs. Sabrina Pullido, kicked off the event by welcoming spouses to the area. The event featured the participation of MWR, NOSC, Connect the Tots, the Naples Middle High School PTA, the Navy College Office, University of Maryland Global Campus, Central Texas College, and the Fleet and Family Support Center. Leadership from all these service organizations came out in full force to brief new area spouses on the amazing opportunities that are available to them here in Naples. The spouses were not only given knowledge but were also served delicious iced mochas while in attendance. It wouldn’t be a USO event without fun prizes so a few lucky spouses won giveaways donated by UMGC, NOSC, and Fleet and Family. This event was for Newcomers, but it was open to anyone that wanted to know more about the area. After all, we are all in this together and if we can make someone feel welcome, that brings us the most joy!
