USO Vicenza August Volunteer of the Month - Zan McDowell

Please join USO Vicenza in congratulating our August 2020 Volunteer of the Month, Zanichaily McDowell (Zan)! 🥳 Zan was born and raised in Ft Bragg, North Carolina and is no stranger to the military life, living in both Texas and Alaska. She is currently enjoying her time in Italy with her husband Nathan, who is an active duty service member with the 173rd Infantry Brigade. When she is not volunteering, she enjoys building 3D puzzles, anything Harry Potter related, and traveling around Europe. Her favorite place so far is the Harry Potter Studios in London. Zan has been volunteering for over a year and is a delight to work with during our events. Her favorites are of course the Harry Potter Movie Marathons we conduct and celebrating Harry Potter’s Birthday, where she prepares delicious Harry Potter themed snacks for our service members and their families. 🧙‍♂️ Lately, Zan has been a tremendous help in the preparation of our appreciation bags for the ROM soldiers and those who are returning from training. This past month alone she has assisted in packing over 1400 appreciation snack bags! So once again join us in congratulating Zan on becoming the USO Vicenza August 2020 Volunteer of the Month.
