Shark Week Teddy Bear Club

Last week USO Vicenza hosted their first in-person Teddy Bear Club since reopening in June. Since it was international Shark Week, kids had a fishing and bubble-tastic Teddy Bear Club! The little sailors jumped into their boats at 10:00 AM sharp and took their first voyage to see their friendly neighborhood shark, aka “Volunteer Greg.” Mr. Shark led them in song and dance to the fun tune, ‘Baby Shark.’ Next, volunteers dove into rainbow fish adventures with the reading of different books by Marcus Phister. After this inspiration story, it was time to fill the sky with some bubbles with bubble wands made out of fuzzy pipe cleaners. After bubble making, it was time for to cast a line out to the sea and catch some different fish and duckies. Our sailors found sea horses, sharks, and even jelly fish! Once they found all of the fish, the children enjoyed all the fruits of their labor by relaxing with some more music, juice boxes, and goldfish. Volunteer Em had such an awesome time with the little ones stating, “It was great to see some new and familiar faces again and I look forward to seeing everyone again soon!”
