USO Sigonella July Volunteer of the Month- Mike Keran

Adapting to all the changes recently can be taxing on everyone, but here at USO Sigonella we take pride in continuing to do what we can to support our amazing community. Our dedicated volunteers have worked hard to continue to spread our mission to the patrons of NAS Sigonella through contactless flight support, appreciation drops and program support. Recently we were able to bring a new program to our community and our volunteers were there to help make sure it was a success. Without the flexibility and willingness to help from our July volunteer of the month, it would have made implementing a new program on a whim much more difficult.

Meet our July Volunteer of the Month AM1 Mike Keran. You may recognize him from our new program we executed last month, Cup of Joe. Originally from Englewood, Colorado, Mike is currently attached to AMID Sigonella. Mike has been a volunteer with us since March 2020, but because of Covid he was only recently able to start actively volunteering. Having to wait a few months before getting into the action didn’t deter him, as he came in motivated and ready to make a big impact on our operations. Not only did he help make Cup of Joe a success, he has also helped around the office and setting up for the many flights we support weekly. We want to thank Mike for all he has done to help us this past month, and we can’t wait to continue working with him as our calendar fills up with more opportunities to help serve NAS Sigonella.
