USO Naples July Volunteer of the Month

USO Naples is ecstatic to announce HM3 Yessika Chrisman as our Volunteer of the Month for July 2020! Since joining the USO Naples Volunteer Committee in July 2019, Yessika has dedicated over 52 hours of volunteer service supporting programs like Teddy Bear Club, Cup of Joe, Taste of Home and more. Despite the recent events of the pandemic, Yessika has still remained an active volunteer, immediately assisting with programs after the USO Naples Centers opened after lockdown. Her positive energy and dedication to the USO, has made her an outstanding volunteer and we are proud to recognize her for all her support. Originally from California, Yessika is stationed here in Italy working at the Naval Hospital Naples on Support Site. When asked why she chose to volunteer with the USO, she replied “I chose to volunteer with USO because it has given so much to the community and it would be a great experience to see what goes on in the USO”. Many of you have probably seen her friendly smile at her favorite event, Taste of Home! “I like Taste of Home because it’s a great way to come together and give to those who are far from their families,” she says. If you don’t see Yessika’s contagious smile at a USO event, you’ll most likely find her reading or working out. Her infectious positivity has warmed the hearts of USO staff and volunteers, and we are grateful for the unwavering support that she gives to our community.
